Girjesh Kumar Singh was born in 1981 in Semra Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, India. He lives and works in Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat.
Graduated in Literature, Economics and Philosophy. Interested in art, as he was in philosophy, he went to art school, first, in Banaras where he completed his BFA and then to Vadodara to do his MFA in Sculpture from the Maharaja Sayajirao University.
Girjesh’s first solo show, Sundaram, was sponsored by Lalit Kala Akademi in Varanasi in 2004. Since then, he has participated in several solo and group shows in Kochi, Mumbai, Lucknow, New Delhi, Varanasi, Vadodara, Chicago, Dubai, Istanbul, London and Singapore.
Girjesh has been a part of various symposia, art camps and workshops.
Girjesh is represented by Rukshaan Art outside the UK and in the UK by Gallery Rosenfeld.
