Rathwa constructs his images purely from imagination and the sensation he experiences when realising the time and space he is in. He believes even an object can relate a story and creates most of his works without reference. He is fascinated how technology and philosophy play an important role in our daily life. Rathwa’s process of working is long and very interesting: layering his canvas with a multitude of colours, scraping, polishing, reapplying colours thereby creating the play of light and shadow, architectural and human forms without the support of actually drawing in the conventional sense is unique about his works.
